New furnace installation in the press area

The new furnace installation consists of three front-loadable furnaces and one bogie-type furnace. The furnace assembly was carried out according to the latest knowledge of energy consumption and emissions.

The inside shell of the furnace has a refractory lining made of highly fire resistant cement with an intermediate isolation made of light-weight refractory mix. In order to achieve a further reduction of energy consumption the furnace doors are equipped with a pneumatic pressing device.

All furnaces are equipped with a fully automatic electronic temperature, switch and regulation control. The recording and documentation of the temperature cycles are also done electronically.

The front-loadable furnaces have a maximum loading capacity of 50.000 kg each and are mainly used for heating ingots up to a single weight of approx. 15.000 kg.

The bogie-type furnace (right photo) has a maximum loading capacity of 120.000 kg material which is heated to the required forging temperature in approx. 40 hours. The necessary power of the installed burners is over 4 Megawatt. As shown on the photos, the furnace can be loaded in 2 layers.

This installation increases our capacities considerably.
