In progress!
As announced on 11.03.2008, we would like to inform you about
the construction progress of our new press hall and 3.500
tons open die press.

The foundations and erection of the steel construction for
the new hall were finalised on schedule. At the moment the
roof and wall elements are being fitted. Subsequent to these
jobs the press assembly can commence. For this operation the
hall roof will remain open above the press so that the
machine parts weighing up to 106 tons can be lifted into the
hall by a heavy-duty crane.
At the same time a further material storage area has been
built next to the gantry crane to make up for the removed old
ingot stock area and to increase the stock capacity for the
oncoming expansion.
The first parts for our new press will be supplied in week 28
so that the assembly can start in the middle of July. We will
keep you informed about the further building and assembly progress.
A team of the TV broadcaster center.tv has accompanied the
construction works since the beginning of May documenting the
progress of the project in a series of reports. You can find
