Investments in the future

11 new apprentices have started their apprenticeship at our company on 01.08.2008.

Apart from two office administrators, five machining mechanics and one industry mechanic (speciality: maintenance) this year as a novelty three young men are receiving training as process mechanics in the smeltery and semi-finished product industry (speciality: steel reduction). We wish everybody success!

The application phase for 2009 has also already begun. The number of apprenticeship professions has been increased again by the job descriptions material inspector and electronics technician for operating technology (please see the link to our job offers).

Furthermore, we would like to inform you about the construction process of our new press hall and the 3500 ton open-die press.

The roof and wall elements have nearly been completely fitted, and the installation of the glass elements is progressing rapidly.

The base spar of the press weighing 106 tons was fitted accurate to the millimetre into the foundation at the end of week 31. In the following weeks the moving crosshead, columns, press cylinder, head beam and hydraulic station were installed.

These installation steps were also documented by the TV broadcaster center.tv. You can find the report under "links".
