The construction progress of the new press hall and the 3.500 ton open-die forging press is on schedule. The moving crosshead, columns, press cylinder and head beam have been assembled, the overhead cranes are in operation and the hall is finished apart from minor jobs to be done on the brickwork of the depositing rack for hot pieces. At the moment we are working at full speed on the hydraulics and electrics of the press and on the installation of the furnaces.
The extension of our sawing capacities is also making good progress. The construction work on the hall has nearly been completed (please see below picture in the middle) so that we could now commence with the interior work and bring the cranes into service.
Theearthworks for two new storage areas started at the eginning of November. These new areas will help us to improve the handling of the feed stock and to create more space for the increasing lorry traffic. |
